Having this type of insight wouldn’t excite everyone, but to the technical nerds out there (🖐️👋) this is pretty interesting! I haven’t seen this feature in-person yet but I’d be interested to know if this is a tool that could be used for diagnosing issues, finding replacement parts, a knowledge base for working on the vehicle or just a “cool to know” type of thing.

Time to give myself a pat on the back as I actually thought of a similar concept years ago. Basically have a base model, base features, base aesthetics, and then make it all configurable. Different grilles, wheels, colours, accessories, bodies and let the consumer choose! You don’t need to offer endless options, just a few! Make individualization available to the masses and not just on $200,000 + vehicles.

Slate accomplishes this very well, it’s a “clean Slate” to start with and make your own. The vehicle is set to cost between $20,000-$30,000 USD and buyers will have access to 100+ accessories. No official word yet on availability outside of the US, however there is an option to pre-order one for $50 USD with deliveries indicated for 2027 and I was able to go through the entire process except for when they asked for more information on my location where you could only provide a zip code. So they took my money before confirming location…

Check out Slates website here and spend time configuring your own: https://www.slate.auto/en/personalization

This is an in-depth video where I learned a lot when comparing an electric motor to an internal combustion engine, the LS3.

Definitely recommend taking a look at this video as this takes apart the Tesla motor and shows you just how more simple they are when compared to their ICE counterpart.

MKBHD reviews the Chevrolet Blazer EV SS. They’re the least expensive 600hp EV on the market. Spec-wise, I love it… looks wise, I’m not quite sold. I find it to be quite bland and uninspiring. Thoughts?

This one is here for pure laughs. Imagine autonomous vehicles just dragging things (hopefully not people) without knowing.
