Cybertruck Long Range now available

Tesla has announced that the Cybertruck Long Range version is available in both the US and Canada. The cost for this version will be approximately $98,000 CAD and have features such as a 6ft by 4ft truck bed, 7,500 lbs of towing capacity and provide 583kms of range. However, noticeably missing features are: no air-suspension, no ventilated seats, no tonneau cover, no rear screen, and no bed outlets among other features that have been removed from the AWD versions. Considering this vehicle would cost $100K+ including taxes, and other fees, it may be worthwhile to consider paying the extra $15K for all the bells and whistles.

While you’re enjoying the open road, your Rivian is processing the world around it in real time thanks to our in-house machine-learning algorithms.

Is Rivian the first to come up with self driving with machine learning? No. Are they the first to show these “behind-the-scenes” videos? No. But much to the dismay of the hard core horse-blindered Tesla fanpeople, Rivian is developing their own version. Tesla was not the first to do everything - a pioneer? 100% but let’s not close our minds that Tesla is the end-all be-all of EVs. I agree their tech and product is at the top of the game, but there are others out there. Especially when you consider the Asian markets.
I understand there is an argument to be made that Rivian could get Tesla to license them the software etc, however not everything is about Tesla and companies would be wise to not put all of their eggs in one basket.

Motormouth demo’s the 2025 Cadillac Escalade IQ EV and if money was no object, I’d love to get one! It’s an Escalade, so what can you expect? Big, luxurious, flashy and expensive!
The IQ comes with a 200kwh battery which gives 724 km of range and the electric motors pump out 615hp which can be boosted in “velocity max mode” to 750hp. Some cool features are the large screen that goes right across the dash, air suspension and 4-wheel steering!
The only reason not to get this EV is the price, coming in with starting price of $161,000 up to $181,000. Did anyone ask for this type of EV? No, but they will sell!

I’m heading to Electric Autonomy’s EV and Charging Expo! Taking place May 14th to 15th in Toronto, this is a great opportunity to learn, discuss and network with the EV industry. You’ll also get the opportunity to get behind the wheel of electric passenger cars, vans, and trucks!
You can buy your tickets here: https://evandchargingexpo.com/
If you are also attending and would like to meet up, please let me know or come find me! Always happy to discuss EVs!
I am not affiliated with Electric Autonomy or The EV & Charging Expo, I’m just a fan of promoting EVs and great events to help educate the public and connect with like-minded people!
