Another spot on review by MKBHD of AutoFocus on the Escalade IQ. A very expensive electric vehicles that hits a lot of boxes such as interior space, charging capabilities, range, tech and of course the “flex factor”.

I know, I know - I got you all excited over a vehicle that will most likely NEVER come to Canada unless it’s imported but the goal here is to help open your eyes to the possibilities outside of North America. There’s always been great manufacturers that serve European and Asian countries, but as Canadians look to get more options, it’s good to look at what other countries get.

The MG IM5, which will launch in the UK soon and will start at less than £40,000 (~73,000 CAD) - not exactly affordable in my opinion… but I suppose if you’re talking about an ultimate luxury vehicle with some level of performance, it makes sense. To call this in-line with the Model S, I think that’s a bit of a stretch when it comes to performance, but cost wise, definitely cheaper.

Richard from Electric Classic Cars converts a Land Rover Defender to electric!

This is a drop-in Land Rover Defender Electric Conversion Kit from Electric Classic Cars. Previously a Tesla battery under the hood and in the back, but now in the Gen 3 kit, the power pack is now under the front hood and in the rear, it replaces where the fuel tank would have been.

The Subaru Uncharted - interesting name. A new all-electric vehicle that actually looks pretty good!

The Subaru Uncharted is based on the Toyota CHR platform. This vehicle offers various powertrain options including front-wheel drive and all-wheel drive versions, with different battery sizes and ranges. The video showcases the exterior and interior design, highlighting its features and spaciousness.

4 Trims have been announced for the Uncharted which includes a base model FWD, where power and range have not yet been announced; a FWD Long Range version that outputs 221 hp and provides 480km of range; and two AWD models will be available that both ouput 338hp and 460km of range.

Previously Subaru had released the Solterra has their first electric vehicle in 2023 and has had mixed reviews over the years with some saying it is a good drive with decent features while others saying it charges slowly and lacks oomph!

What do you think of the Subaru Uncharted? Have you tried a Subaru Solterra?
