Off-road electric RV called the Adventure 1 from NB’s Potential Motors.

Potential Motors, from New Brunswick, specializes in off-road control systems for electric vehicles and now leverages their knowledge to launch an electric off-road RV called the Adventure 1.

May be an image of nature

The Adventure 1 is designed for off-road adventures and is not road-legal. The vehicle is only 64 inches wide and 178 inches long, with a wheelbase of 105 inches. From the photos, it looks to be the ultimate camping vehicle that can take your adventures deeper than ever before. The Adventure 1 is set to feature 604HP via a dual motor AWD setup which also offers 737ft-lb of torque and have an off-road range of 160km.

This off-road RV is not for everyone. In fact Potential Motors will not be mass-producing the Adventure 1. The price of $136,600 will also make the vehicle out of reach for most - however if you are interested (and can afford) to take your adventures further, you can currently pre-order the Adventure 1, for $1,000. Jeep to introduce new electric SUVs between now and 2025.

As part of Jeeps goals to achieve 50% EV sales in North America and 100% sales in Europe by 2030. Jeep has released plug-in hybrid versions of both the Wrangler and the Grand Cherokee SUVs, but they do not offer any fully electric models currently which makes the launch of 4 electric SUVs over the next 3 years quite a challenge.

Jeep has not released information on all of their models, but have provided some glimpses of information.

The Jeep Recon will be one model offered in the future and will have a lot of options such as removable doors and roof panels. The Recon will arrive in North America in 2024, with reservations opening in early 2023. Jeep says the electric SUV will be sold all major markets.

Another SUV EV that will also launch in 2024 with reservations starting by the end of next year, is the Jeep Wagoneer S - an upgrade from the premium and luxurious currently available ICE model. The Wagoneer S is still being considered a sort of code name, with the “S” standing for:

  • Speed – 0 to 100 km/h in ~3.5 seconds.

  • Striking – Forward-leaning face and stance.

  • Sexy – Stylish, bold design complete with a hovering wing.

The Jeep Avenger will only be available in Europe. The Avenger will be officially unveiled at The Paris Auto Show on October 17th with customer reservations beginning as well. It will have an approximate range of 400km and have a more ground clearance for off-roading capabilities.

Lastly, it seems as thought the final model is still completely under wraps - however Jeep is looking to expand the electrified 4xe models across their entire portfolio by the end of 2025.
